Tomorrow is the last day of vacation, but due to certain circumstances, AAB and I decided to say goodbye to Sauvignon Beach today, not waiting until next summer. It was a beautiful, sunny, and windy day, which made it pleasantly cool. The water in the pool was perfect, though we almost didn't go—it was tempting to stay put. But we went anyway, even though we could have skipped it!

The beach was wonderful, breezy, and not too hot. Swimming wasn't exactly on our minds, but we gave it a go, and the sea turned out to be divine! Warm with gentle waves—pure luxury. And to think, we almost missed it!

As we were about to head back, suddenly—a dolphin show! Childlike excitement filled us. It felt like a festive closing to the beach season, with those smiling faces promising a beautiful tomorrow and a world of exciting discoveries.

This was the perfect example. On one side, the need to move from a comfortable spot where you already feel good. On the other, the vague possibility of something interesting, thrilling, even inspiring. But for all this "interesting and inspiring" to happen, you have to make an effort. If you’re trying to get out of a difficult situation, the motivation and effort are clear: you’re being pushed out by the problem.

But how do you motivate yourself to take action when everything is already fine? When there's nothing pressing you, yet "beyond the horizon," there's a chance of experiencing something new—a bit of inspiration or joy from a pleasant surprise.

It’s this shift from “good to maybe even better,” this ability to step away from your comfort zone and do something you could just as easily skip, that drives “extra profit” from life—gains like inspiration, insights, discoveries, and life’s simple pleasures.

It made me wonder: could curiosity be this engine?

I’m sure that for some people, curiosity remains vibrant throughout their lives. As kids, it leads us to "unsanctioned" adventures, which often bring “extra profit” in the form of parental punishment as well.

Why do some people keep their curiosity for life while others lose it? And is it possible to regain lost curiosity? How?

There’s a lot to ponder on here! It’s a fascinating topic…

Much love to you all!

Wishing everyone good health!
