Game «Parents and children»
May 2025 Ukraine, Zakarpatye
Every parent experiences a moment when they realize: their child has grown up, become a teenager, and they feel left behind, unsure how to build new relationships.
How can we ensure that the child hears, understands, and accepts their parents? How can we make teenagers realize that their parents are the right people to turn to with all their questions?
This game is about trust within the family between parents and children. It’s about finding a common language, even when the teenagers’ vocabulary is not always clear to their parents.
The game allows participants to hear and understand not only their perspective on family relationships but also the teenager's point of view—possibly not always pleasant, but honest and open.
Building on this understanding, it becomes possible to establish relationships on a new foundation—one of partnership.
SLOGAN OF THE PROJECT: "A FIRE CAN BE BOTH PREVENTED AND EXTINGUISHED!"
Tetiana Budantsova, the author and leader of this project, co-founder of "Media Key".
WE HELP BOTH PARENTS AND CHILDREN TO HEAR AND UNDERSTAND ONE ANOTHER, ENABLING THE CREATION OF FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS THAT ARE COMFORTABLE FOR EVERYONE.
CAN A FAMILY EXIST WITHOUT CONFLICTS? CAN A CONFLICT BE MITIGATED BEFORE IT ESCALATES INTO A SCANDAL OR RUINED RELATIONSHIPS? ABSOLUTELY. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE REFLECTIVE GAME TEACHES.
WHAT IS THE
«PARENTS AND CHILDREN»
REFLECTIVE GAME?
This is an opportunity for both adults and children to have an honest and open conversation about their perspectives on the family situation. I
t’s about addressing current issues, some of which parents may not even be aware of. Together, participants can reflect on how to build a family where the relationships between parents and children are satisfying for everyone.
The main benefit is that you will develop new approaches and quickly test their impact on relationships. This helps parents better understand their children, avoid challenges during the teenage years, and foster healthy, friendly relationships within the family.
This is a vibrant, rich, and fascinating game where parents and children truly get to know each other. The game is full of surprises and discoveries.
